Methods of payment can be obtained from the Registration Officer  (membership@dsiso.org) and include Cash, Cheque and Electronic Transfer.  Please note that actual amount invoiced may differ from the "cash" figure due to banking and exchange charges levied by the Bank.  NOTE:  Payments can only be made to Sue Barker the Registration Officer.  Please do not send Registration fees to event organisers.

During the Sports Assembly 2006 in Limerick it was passed that we now run all events under Fina Rules our own Rule Book will stand for all other issues

UPDATE ON RECORDS

Below is an extract of the DSISO Rules regarding World and Regional Record Applications

 

GN 8   Records

 

GN 8.1  Short and Long Course World and Regional Records may be established for each event (as applicable).  World and Regional Records will be maintained separately for DS Trisomy 21 and for Mosaic DS.  Records may be established for the following Age Groups:

 

GN 8.1.1 Open -  all Registered athletes

GN 8.1.2 Junior – athletes under 17 years of age at midnight on date of competition

GN 8.1.3 Masters; in 2 (two) age bands:

GN 8.1.3.1   25 to 34 years of age as of 31 December in year of competition

GN 8.1.3.2   35 years of age and over as of 31 December in year of competition

 

GN 8.2   Records may only be claimed from an event that is either Approved by, Sanctioned by or promoted directly on behalf of DSISO, and swum under the Rules of DSISO, or Fina, or IPC Swimming.  Records do not require to be claimed from World Championship events directly promoted by DSISO.

 

GN 8.2 Records will be administered by the Records Officer on behalf of the DSISO Executive Committee and are to be published. World and Regional Record applications are to be submitted by e-mail to the DSISO Records Officer and Technical Director within 10 days of the competition at which the Record time has been established. To be followed within 30 days by post/scanned email on the appropriate form . Applications must be accompanied by the published results from the competition and the automatic/electronic time slip, signed and authorized by the Event Referee.  A surveyor’s certificate stating the measured length of the pool is to be submitted if not already held on file by DSISO.  Records submitted without the necessary documentation or outside of the time limits will not be considered.
