DSISO Executive Committee Changes
With this letter you will find a Motion from the DSISO Executive Committee that will be presented to the Swimming Assembly in Truro. Please read this carefully since it is important for Nominations and Elections for the Executive Committee for 2018-2022.
The suggestion that we reduce the size of the Executive Committee must be approved by the Assembly before the Elections.
This creates two possibilities.
Firstly, if the Motion is successful. There will be four positions to vote for:
These officers are appointed by the Executive Committee and not voted upon.
Technical Director (Swimming)
Technical Director (Synchronized Swimming)
Secondly, the Motion is not successful. Then we will vote as previously for :
2 Members at Large (1 was appointed in 2016 and will stay in post)
Currently the following position are Nominated by the Executive Committee and are not Nominated or Voted upon at the Swimming Assembly.
- Medical Officer
- Technical Director (Swimming)
- Technical Director (Synchronized Swimming)
- Records Officer and Website Manager
- The Coach Representative still has 2 years to run
CHANGE OF ROLE
If the Motion is successful then the new Officers will changes in their roles.
Therefore, it is necessary for me to forward to you two different Nomination Forms for,
Nomination Form A to use if the Executive is to be reduced (Motion is passed)
Nomination Form B to use if the Executive is to stay the same (Motion Fails)
There is only one Nomination Form for the Medical Officer since previously this was appointed by the Executive Committee.
