DESCRIPTION:8th Open Down Syndrome Swimming Championships – Albufeira\, Portugal \nThe 8th Open Down Syndrome Swimming Championships took place in Albufeira\, Portugal\, with 17 countries and 103 swimmers participating. SUMMARY:11th World Down Syndrome Swimming & Artistic Championships

SUMMARY:10th Down Syndrome World Swimming Championships
DESCRIPTION:ALBUFEIRA\, ALGARVE. PORTUGAL\n15 October – 23 October 2022\n\n23 Countries participated in the 10th  World Down Syndrome Swimming & Artistic Championships.   There were 163 swimmers and 25 artistic swimmers.   The event was organized by the National Swimming Federation of Portugal (FPN:  https://fpnatacao.pt/).   Livestreaming for the entire event took place.   Congratulations to FPN LOC for giving DSISO a first class event.    \nCongratulations to all the swimmers.   The standard of swimming continues to improve with each championship. SUMMARY:9th Down Syndrome World Swimming Championships 2018
DESCRIPTION:Memories from Canada 2018.    So pleased that countries will be meeting again in Albufeira in October 2022 to compete.    Will be making more awesome memories. \n\n \nSwimming Championship ended on 27th July and all the teams have left Truro\, Nova Scotia\, Canada.   Many new friendships were formed during the competition by both swimmers and supporters.   Live streaming of the event was a bonus for all the supporters back home.   Results were also available on meet mobile.   Thank you to Canada for your amazing hospitality.  We were made to feel welcome from the moment we set foot on Canadian soil.\nThe standard of swimming continues to improve.  This year there was a record number of entries in the junior category and there were juniors that made the open finals and medalled.      There were 11 T21 World Records broken and 13 Mosaic World Records.   For each World Record the swimmer scored an extra 10 points and a WR equalled 5 points.\nTop Male Swimmer   –  T21  Aran Miller (Australia)\nTop Mosaic Male Swimmer – Mosaic  –  Michael Qing (Canada)\nTop Female Swimmer  –  T21  –  Dunia Camacho (Mexico)\nTop Female Swimmer  –  Mosaic  –  Ellen Stephenson (Great Britain)\nOverall winning Team      –     AUSTRALIA\nTop Ten Teams:\n1.   Australia\n2.  Great Britain\n3.  Italy\n4.  Canada\n5.  Mexico\n6.  South Africa\n7.  Brazil\n8.  Portugal\n9.  France\n10.
